Winter Picnic to be held - The community is invited to the Crawford County Commission on Aging & Senior Center’s Winter Picnic on Thursday, January 9, from 4-6 p.m. Think warm thoughts and gather for a night of eating picnic foods. The Senior Center will be serving BBQ ribs, Kentucky baked beans, broasted Yukon potatoes, Rio citrus salad, and black forest torte. The suggested donation for seniors 60 and over is $3.50. The price for those under 60 is $5.75. Dinner is open to the public and no reservations are required.
 
Senior Center offers Grow Your Knowledge - The Crawford County Commission on Aging & Senior Center will host a Grow Your Knowledge Session on January 10 at 9 a.m. Event will be video conferencing with Shelly Cline, historian at the Midwest Center for Holocaust Education, to learn more about the beginnings of the Nazi State in 1933, changes to German Society in the years that followed, and the development of the final solution as Germany conquered more and more of the European continent. After the educational video session, there will be doughnuts and discussion of the topic. Cost to attend is $5.
 
Coffee hour for veterans to be held - The Crawford County Veteran’s Service Office will be hosting a coffee hour on the second Thursday of each month. The next meeting will take place at the American Legion Post #106 in Grayling on January 9 from 9-10 a.m. Coffee and doughnuts will be provided free of charge.  This is an event for veterans to meet and talk with each other. It will be held in a social setting with no formal speeches or agenda. All veterans are welcome whether they served in peacetime or wartime.
