Voter drive to be held at Kirtland - A Voter and Absentee Ballot Registration Drive will take place Tuesday and Wednesday, January 28 and 29, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Kirtland Community College main lobby. 4-H volunteer info meeting to be held - Did you ever wonder about volunteering for 4-H? Join 4-H on Tuesday, January 28, from 5-7 p.m. at the Curator, in downtown Grayling, to learn about the variety of ways that you can make a difference. There are many ways to participate from leading a club to organizing fundraisers to helping out at special events. The Curator is located at 200 E. Michigan Avenue.
Grayling Eagles to host benefit dinner - A benefit dinner in memory of Cody Hazelton will be held on Saturday, January 25, at the Grayling Eagles. Dinner will include a pulled pork sandwich served with chips and an array of homemade salads and desserts. Doors open at 3 p.m. and live auctions start at 5 p.m. There will be 50/50 raffles every hour and other raffles. Dinner is by donation. Proceeds will benefit Athena Anarin Hazelton and Paige Haines.
Tai Chi Workshop offered - A free Tai Chi Workshop will be held at The Gift: A Wellness Community (4304 M-72, just east of the I-75 overpass in Grayling) on Saturday, January 25, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Curious about Tai Chi and Qigong? Wonder what it is like, what the benefits are? Join instructor Kaye Thomas-Hogan as she guides you through an easy short gentle moving routine. Learn what “chi” is, how to feel it and visualize it. This ancient Chinese art and science can improve balance, rejuvenate, help relieve the effects of stress, and help the body bring its health back into balance. No experience necessary.
