COA to conduct Frederic Satellite Meal - The community is invited to the Crawford County Commission on Aging’s Frederic Satellite Meal on Friday, Feb. 9, at 12 p.m. at the Frederic Township Hall. The lunch includes chicken cordon bleu, mashed potatoes, green beans, and peaches. The cost of the lunch is a suggested donation of $3 for those 60 and over and a $5 cost for those under 60. Munson Home Health will provide blood pressure and sugar checks and Bingo will be played following the meal. Call (989) 348-7123 for a reservation. Rep. Rendon invites residents to local office hours - State Rep. Daire Rendon of Lake City will sponsor local office hours in Crawford County from 9 to 10 a.m. at Goodale’s Bakery – located at 500 Norway Street in Grayling – on Friday, Feb. 2. No appointments are necessary to attend office hours. Skeet and trap leagues to begin Jan. 27 - Grayling Sportsman Club winter skeet and trap leagues start on Jan. 27 and run through April. Trap is Saturday and skeet is Sunday. For more information, call (989) 891-7807, or sign up at the club (6990 Old Lake Road in Grayling).
Seniors to take trip to Niagara Falls - The Crawford County Commission on Aging and Senior Center is joining the Bellaire Senior Center on a trip to Niagara Falls and Toronto. The trip is scheduled from May 21 through May 25. The cost of the trip is $450 per person, which includes five days and four nights, motor coach transportation, eight meals (four breakfasts and four dinners), guided tours of Niagara Falls and Toronto, a visit to Casa Loma, a visit to Niagara-on-the-Lake and Queen Victoria Park, and a Journey to the Falls on a “Hornblower Niagara Cruise.” For more information and reservations contact Beth Lacy at (231) 533-8703. $75 is due upon signing up. Price is per person, based on double occupancy. Add $159 for single occupancy.
