Animal Shelter Board to meet - The next AuSable Valley Animal Shelter Board of Directors meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, February 5, 5:30 p.m. at Summers Dealer Services, 6211 West M-72 (Grayling Support sign at the road). All members are welcome to attend.

Wii Bowling Team looking for new players - The Wii Bowling Team at the Crawford County Commission on Aging & Senior Center meets every Wednesday from 1 to 2 p.m. at the Senior Center to practice and is currently looking for new players. No experience is necessary; come play, meet new friends, and have a good time. Players also have the option of joining the team as they travel once each month from February through October to play against other Senior Centers.
Donations help with grants, scholarships - The Crawford AuSable Excellence in Education Foundation (CAEEF) provides academic scholarships to graduating students of the Crawford AuSable School District and provides funds for grants to classes and educational organizations in the district. The CAEEF is working toward its initial goal of raising $1 million. Senior Center to host Foot Clinic - The Crawford County Commission on Aging & Senior Center will host a Foot Clinic from 11:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Thursday, February 6. Appointments are required; call the Senior Center at (989) 348-7123.
Veterans can get ride to VA hospital - Veterans living in Crawford, Kalkaska, Roscommon, Otsego, or Ogemaw counties can arrange to be picked up along the I-75 corridor for a ride to the VA hospital by a Disabled American Veterans van. Call the Veterans Service Office at (989) 344-3861.
