COA to go on trip to Ohio museum - The Crawford County Commission on Aging and Senior Center is joining the Kalkaska Commission on Aging on a trip to the Ark Encounter & Creation Museum in Ohio.  The trip is scheduled from May 14 through May 18. The cost of the trip is $559 per person which includes five days and four nights, motor coach transportation, eight meals (four breakfasts and four dinners), admissions to the new Ark Encounter, the famous Creation Museum, the Newport Aquarium and the Cincinnati Zoo & Botanical Gardens, and more. $75 is due upon signing. Euchre tournament series to start Feb. 2 - Project Graduation will be conducting euchre tournaments at the Eagles Club on Feb. 2, March 2, and April 6. There will be prizes each night, and there will be a grand prize ($100 Family Fare gift certificate) for best score combined for all three nights. Registration fee is $15 per person. TEFAP food distribution to be held - The quarterly TEFAP food distribution will be held on Monday, Feb. 5, at the American Legion, located at 106 James Street, from 1 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. Please bring identification showing current address. Line up at the back door. Please bring someone to help carry your bags if necessary.
Fundraiser offers Super Bowl Sunday subs - Grayling High School’s 2018 Project Graduation is conducting a sub sandwich fundraiser for Super Bowl Sunday on Feb. 4. Delivery of the eight-inch subs will be available (within 15 miles of Grayling) on Feb. 4 between 12 p.m. and 3 p.m. Subs can be turkey or ham with choice of cheese and veggie options. Sub orders must be prepaid. Checks payable to “GHS Project Graduation.” Order forms are available at St. Mary’s Church. Drop off completed forms and payment to Yvonne Schreiber at St. Mary’s or Cheri Helsel/Teresa Bonamie at the Grayling High School office.
Lovers’ Lane Bowling to be held at Legion - Project Graduation will present Lovers’ Lane Bowling on Saturday, Feb. 10, at 6 p.m. at Legion Lanes. The format will be 9-pin, no tap. Cost is $25 per person (includes three games of bowling, shoes, taco bar and desserts, and prizes). All proceeds benefit Project Graduation 2018.
