Benefit BBQ Pork Dinner to be held - A Live Auction & BBQ Pork Dinner for Lori Limmel, Spike’s kitchen manager for more than 20 years, will be held at Tinker’s Junction from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m. on April 14. All proceeds from the event will go to Limmel to help with living expenses and medical transportation costs. Limmel was diagnosed with breast cancer in November of 2018. Free Divorce Clinic offered in Grayling - A Free Divorce Clinic – sponsored by the 46th Circuit Court Family Division, Legal Services of Northern Michigan, Local County Bar Association, and Community Mediation Services – will be held at the Crawford County Courthouse on Thursday, April 18, at 5:30 p.m. Clinic includes free step by step directions to file for divorce and free legal answers for any questions you may have. The clinic will also be held in Grayling on June 20, August 15, October 17, and December 19. Gaylord sessions of the clinic – to be held at 5:30 p.m. at the United Way Building – will be conducted on May 16, July 18, September 19, and November 21. Hanson Hills offers Youth Archery Class - Grayling Recreation Authority and Northwood Archery Club will present a Youth Archery Class for 5th through 8th graders at Hanson Hills (archery building) – located at 7601 Old Lake Road – on Tuesdays for five weeks starting on April 23. Sessions run from 4-5:30 p.m. Cost is $35. The classes will help children learn the basics of archery including safety, proper equipment handling, and practice skills to improve their shooting ability. Track your miles with 100 Mile Club - A great way to start your exercise program through the spring and summer is keeping track of your progress. Registration is now open for the 100 Mile Club. Track your miles hiking, biking, kayaking, or running. Program is free without custom shirt. Pay $20 and receive a customized T-shirt. Participants and miles logged will be listed on the back of shirts with custom graphics on front. Miles are logged on the honor system and can be done at the location of your choice. Play the Price is Right at senior center - You are invited to “come on down” to the Crawford County Commission on Aging & Senior Center on Tuesday, April 16, at 5:45 p.m. and be the next contestant on the Price is Right! Play the Check Game, the Grocery Game, and the Shell Game. Winners of these games will advance to the coveted Shopper’s Showcase Showdown where the wheel will be spun for even more prizes. Come early for a pork chop supreme dinner served from 4:30-5:30 p.m. The cost of dinner is $5.50 for those under 60 and a suggested $3.50 donation for those 60 and over.
