Ribbon cutting event for new pavilion postponed - The Grayling Rotary Club and Grayling Recreation Authority have postponed a ribbon cutting ceremony for the new pavilion at Hanson Hills Recreation Area; it was originally slated for Wednesday, June 27. The ribbon cutting will be held later this summer, according to Rotary officials. GRA is currently trying to raise money to purchase picnic tables for the new pavilion. Project Graduation to conduct transition meeting - The 2018 Grayling Project Graduation committee will meet with interested 2019 parents to hand over records at Gray Rock Pub & Grub on Thursday, June 21, at 6 p.m. Any parent of a 2019 Grayling High School senior is welcome to attend to become involved in the Project Graduation process. 
Senior Center to host bean bag toss event - The Crawford County Commission on Aging & Senior Center is bringing the game of “Bean Bag Toss,” or now, more commonly called “Cornhole,” to the Senior Center on Tuesday, June 26, at 5:45 p.m. Experts or novices welcome. Rain or shine. This is a free event. Dinner will be held from 4:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. with celebration of June Birthdays at 5 p.m. Dinner will be chicken and mushroom orecchiette. Those 60 years of age and over dinner is a suggested donation of $3. Those under 60 the cost is $5. The Senior Center is located at 308 Lawndale Street. For questions call (989) 348-7123.
Relay for Life team to conduct fundraiser - Relay for Life’s “Families Against Cancer” Team will conduct a Can/Bottle Drive at Family Fare on Friday, June 22, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Cans/bottles will be sorted for you. Chair Yoga slated for June 28 - This month Chair Yoga is June 28 at 6 p.m. at the Crawford County Commission on Aging & Senior Center. Chair Yoga aims to give you the experience of classical yoga, even if you have mobility issues or find regular yoga challenging. It will help improve flexibility, strength, balance, and focus. Join instructor Nicole Wethington and enjoy the many benefits of yoga without sitting or lying on the floor. This class is free and open to the public. Frederic Church to host VBS - The First Baptist Church – located at 6536 Manistee Street in Frederic – will host Vacation Bible School with a theme of Time Lab on June 25-27 from 5:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. Free supper at 5 p.m. The VBS is for kids age 4 through kids who just finished sixth grade.
