CASD retirees to meet - The Crawford AuSable School District retirees group will hold its annual gathering on Thursday, August 24, with a luncheon at the Grayling Country Club. Neighborhood Connections event to be held - A Crawford County Neighborhood Connections event, sponsored by the Crawford County Human Services Collaborative, will be held on Thursday, August 24, from 1-3:30 p.m. at Grayling High School. Neighborhood Connections is a Health and Wellness Resource Fair which features products and services from various community agencies and organizations aimed at helping the residents of Crawford County improve their health and connect with local resources. A free food truck will also be available at the event. Call Crawford County Dial-A-Ride at 348-5409 to schedule a free ride to and from the event. Senior Center to host BBQ Pork Dinner - The community is invited to attend a BBQ Pork Roast Dinner at the Crawford County Commission on Aging and Senior Center, 308 Lawndale, on Thursday, August 24.  Dinner will be served from 4-6 p.m. Dinner includes BBQ pork roast, corn on the cob, cole slaw, pineapple, and apple crisp. The meal is $5 per person for those under the age of 60 and a suggested donation of $3 for those 60 and over. The dinner is open to the public and no reservations are required. Free divorce clinic offered - The 46th Judicial Circuit Bar Association, Legal Services of Northern Michigan, and Community Mediation Services will conduct a free divorce clinic at the Crawford County Courthouse at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday, August 17. Legal Services staff attorneys will provide classroom instruction and volunteer attorneys will be available for private consultations. All forms will be supplied free to participants. Veterans can get ride to VA hospital - Veterans living in Crawford, Kalkaska, Roscommon, Otsego, or Ogemaw counties can arrange to be picked up along the I-75 corridor for a ride to the VA hospital by a Disabled American Veterans van. COA to raise money with Rummage Sale - There will be a Rummage Sale Fundraiser benefiting the Crawford County Commission on Aging and Senior Center on Friday, August 18, and Saturday, August 19, at the old Fred Bear Building on M-72 West. The Rummage Sale will be open from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. both days. For more information, contact Helen Nolan at (989) 348-7123.
 
Women’s Bowling League to meet - The Wednesday Night Women’s Recreation Bowling League will be holding a meeting on Wednesday, August 16, at 7 p.m. at the American Legion bowling alley. All women interested in bowling are urged to attend. Any questions, contact Patty D’Amour at (989) 710-0277.
