Sheriff’s Office to auction vehicles
Nine vehicles will be offered for sale at a public auction to be held at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, September 1, in the lobby of the Crawford County Sheriff’s Office. Vehicles are located at Phil’s Towing and AuSable Towing if anyone is interested in viewing them prior to the sale. Aerobic Drumming classes offered on Zoom
Join the Crawford County Commission on Aging & Senior Center for Aerobic Drumming classes via Zoom on Mondays and Tuesdays at 10 a.m. All classes will feature modifications to accommodate different skill levels. There is equipment used for this class which can be borrowed from the Commission on Aging. All classes are free of charge and open to the public. Senior Center offers online Zumba classes
Join the Crawford County Commission on Aging & Senior Center for Zumba classes via Zoom on Wednesdays and Thursdays at 10 a.m. There will be modifications available to accommodate all skill levels. All classes are free of charge and open to the public. Stretch classes available through COA
Join the Crawford County Commission on Aging & Senior Center for Stretch classes via Zoom on Fridays at 10 a.m. The class combines stretching moves from Stretch to Fitness and Equipped to be Fit classes that were previously offered at the Senior Center. Modifications will be available to accommodate all skill levels. All classes are free of charge and open to the public. Photo Scavenger Hunt is under way
The Crawford County Commission on Aging & Senior Center is conducting a Photo Scavenger Hunt. Unravel eight riddles and photograph yourself at all eight sites throughout Crawford County by midnight on September 30 for a chance to win a Spike’s gift card. Food help for seniors offered
There are “Quarantine Boxes” of food available for adults over 60 years of age who are not currently on any food assistance programs. One box is filled with recipes and 33 food items that provide for 22 well-balanced nutritious meals. Free medical items available for seniors
The Crawford County Commission on Aging & Senior Center has many medical items including walkers, canes, and more available for free for adults ages 60 and over. If you are interested in learning more, call Kathy at (989) 348-7123. All supplies are first come, first served.
COA offers house number signs
The Crawford County Commission on Aging & Senior Center has emergency house number signs available. These are universal green reflective signs with your house number on it which makes it easier for first responders to locate your home. Foot Care Clinic to be held
The Crawford County Commission on Aging & Senior Center will be offering the Foot Care Clinic once again. Half-hour appointments are provided by Comfort Keepers where a registered nurse will soak the feet, trim and file toenails, lotion feet, provide foot care tips, and inspect feet for injury and circulation.
