Veteran’s Day program to be held - A Veteran’s Day event will be held on Monday, November 11, at 11 a.m. at the Grayling American Legion. Soup and sandwiches will be served after the program.
Senior Center to host Thanksgiving Dinner - The community is invited to the Crawford County Commission on Aging & Senior Center’s annual Thanksgiving Dinner on Thursday, November 14, from 4-6 p.m. The Senior Center will be serving roasted turkey, mashed potatoes with gravy, cranberry dressing, corn with red peppers, coconut fruit salad, pumpkin pie, and other assorted pies. The cost of the dinner is $5.75 for those under 60 and a suggested donation of $3.50 for those 60 years of age or older. The dinner is open to the public. No reservations are required. Event to gather items for Toys for Tots - Help Stuff the Goose (a state police car) for Toys for Tots at the Grayling K-Mart on Saturday, November 9, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Improv group to perform at AAV - Grayling improv group Gits and Shiggles will perform on Thursday, November 14, at 7 p.m. at the AuSable Artisan Village.
Coffee hour for veterans to be held - The Crawford County Veteran’s Service Office will be hosting a coffee hour on the second Thursday of each month. The next meeting will take place at the American Legion Post #106 in Grayling on November 14 from 9-10 a.m. Coffee and doughnuts will be provided free of charge. This is an event for veterans to meet and talk with each other. It will be held in a social setting with no formal speeches or agenda. All veterans are welcome whether they served in peacetime or wartime. For more information, contact the Veteran’s Service Office at (989) 344-3861.
American Legion Auxiliary to meet - The American Legion Auxiliary will meet at 5:30 p.m. at the American Legion on Tuesday, November 12. The group meets once a month on the second Tuesday of each month.
