Painting party to be held at Senior Center - The Crawford County Commission on Aging & Senior Center, along with Jennifer Thompson from That One Place, is hosting a party to paint a Michigan Woods painting. No experience is required. Even if you have never held a paint brush before, you will be able to create a painting that you will be proud to display in your home. This event will be held on Thursday, January 23, from 12 to 2:30 p.m. at the Senior Center. This event is $30 per person and includes all the supplies/materials you will need to paint your work of art. Payment can be made at the Crawford County Commission on Aging & Senior Center prior to the class date. Grow Your Knowledge Session to be held - Join the Crawford County Commission on Aging & Senior Center on January 10 at 9 a.m. for a Grow Your Knowledge Session. Event will be video conferencing with Shelly Cline, historian at the Midwest Center for Holocaust Education, to learn more about the beginnings of the Nazi State in 1933, changes to German society in the years that followed, and the development of the final solution as Germany conquered more and more of the European continent. After the educational video session, there will be doughnuts and discussion of the topic. Cost to participate is $5.
Senior Center to conduct escape room event - Join the Crawford County Commission on Aging & Senior Center at Northern Michigan Escape Rooms in Grayling on Tuesday, January 14, at 1 p.m. to solve puzzles and put together clues as a team to unlock the door to freedom before times run out. Can you escape before the coppers show up or worse the gang? This event is $25 per person and registration is required. Payment can be made at the Crawford County Commission on Aging & Senior Center prior to the event.
