Senior Center to host curbside luncheon
The community is invited to the Crawford County Commission on Aging & Senior Center’s Curbside Spring Fling Luncheon on Tuesday, April 20, from 11:30 a.m. to 1 pm. On the menu will be glazed baked ham, candied sweet potatoes, French green beans, pineapple, and carrot cake. RSVP before the luncheon by calling (989) 348-7123. The cost of the dinner is $6 for those under 60 and a suggested donation of $3.50 for those 60 years of age or older.
Meal sales to benefit Viking Band Boosters
Enjoy a meal at Gray Rock Pub & Grub and support the Grayling High School and Grayling Middle School Band Boosters. Proceeds from sales on Tuesday, April 13, from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. are being donated to the Grayling Viking Band Boosters.
AuSable Artisan Village offers course
AuSable Artisan Village is offering a new course, called “Simple Pendant,” on Saturday, April 17, in the gallery at 219 Michigan Avenue from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. The class, taught by metalsmith Ken Schug of Down to Earth Designs in Interlochen, is open to students ages 15 and older. There will be a lunch break, so participants are welcome to bring their own food and beverages or order from a local restaurant. Meal planning webinar offered online
The Michigan State University Extension in partnership with the Crawford County Commission on Aging will offer a presentation to help connect neighbors to learn about food budgeting and meal planning. Medical items available for seniors
The Crawford County Commission on Aging & Senior Center has many medical items including walkers, canes, and more available for free for adults ages 60 and over. If you are looking for any items, please call Kathy Meisner at (989) 348-7123. All supplies are first come, first served.
