Tree Sale Kickoff

The Crawford County Sheriff's Department and Local Emergency Services 1st Annual Tree Sale Kickoff slated for December 5 has been cancelled. The Sheriff's Department will still sell trees at the Tractor Supply Parking Lot as normal. The 1st Annual Tree Sale Kickoff was planned as a new way to start the sale and allow community members to meet first responders.

Santa Train

The annual Lake State Railway “Santa Train” has been cancelled for 2020, according to the Grayling Regional Chamber of Commerce.

Goodale’s Holiday Train

The Goodale family’s annual holiday train open house – an event that gathers donations for the Crawford County Christian Help Center – has been cancelled for 2020. The family encourages people to continue supporting the Christian Help Center.

Crawford AuSable Thanksgiving Dinner

The 2020 Crawford AuSable Thanksgiving Dinner will be by delivery basis only. There will not be a gathering this year due to COVID-19 restrictions. To make a monetary donation to the Crawford AuSable Thanksgiving Dinner, send check (payable to CATD) to: CATD, PO Box 247, Grayling, MI, 49738.

Grayling Regional Chamber of Commerce

The Grayling Regional Chamber of Commerce's Holiday After Hours has been cancelled for 2020. The Chamber of Commerce office “is currently open by phone, email, or appointment only.” The phone number for the Chamber of Commerce is (989) 348-2921. 

Crawford County Transportation Authority

Crawford County Transportation Authority (Dial-A-Ride) hours are 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday. Dial-A-Ride is available to pick up and deliver Crawford County Commission on Aging & Senior Center Congregate Meals for $1 and Michelson Memorial United Methodist Church Monday Night Community Dinners for $1 (senior price).

Crawford County Libraries

The Crawford County Devereaux Memorial Library is now open from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday. There is a limit of 25 patrons in the building at any given time. Patrons must wear face masks and practice social distancing. The Frederic Community Library is open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday and 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturdays. Only 10 people are allowed inside at one time. Contact the Frederic Library at (989) 348-4067.

Kirtland Community College

Kirtland has a COVID-19 Neighborhood Testing Site on Wednesdays from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., Thursdays from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., and Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. 

Crawford County Commission on Aging

Aerobic Drumming, Zumba, and Stretch classes are available via Zoom. Congregate meals will continue to be offered Monday through Friday on a curbside take-out basis from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Lunch and dinner, as well as weekend meals, can be picked up at that time. Call the COA at (989) 348-7123 to order takeout meals. Meals on Wheels will continue to be delivered on an alternative schedule. In-home services will continue. Telephone reassurance calls will continue. 

Crawford County Veteran's Service Office

The Coffee Hour slated for the second Thursday of each month is cancelled until further notice.
