Grayling Main Street will host 41st annual Grayling Christmas Walk

Grayling Main Street Program will be hosting the 41st Annual Grayling Christmas Walk from from 3 p.m. to 9 p.m.  on Saturday, Nov. 17, in Grayling. 
This Christmas Walk is a free community event to help showcase local businesses and non-profit organizations as they celebrate the holiday season. The event will be open to the public with additional information available at www.downtowngrayling.com.
The event will include Breakfast with Santa at the American Legion from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.; the Snowball Drop on the Huntington Bank lawn at 3:15 p.m.; pictures with Santa inside the AuSable Artisan Village from 3:30 p.m. to 6 p.m.; horse drawn carriage rides from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m.;  free trolley rides to area businesses and attractions from 3 p.m. to 9 p.m.; live reindeer and pony rides on Michigan Avenue from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m.; the Holiday Boutique in the basement of Michelson Memorial United Methodist Church from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m.; and Festival of Trees in the Grayling Mini Mall from 3 p.m. to 9 p.m. 
There will be a trolley pass drawing for prizes comprised of donations from partnering community businesses as well as prize winners for the best float competition and the Clark Griswold Decorating Challenge for local businesses.
“We try to get the entire community involved and invite the public to come join us, as we kick off the holiday celebrations by showcasing what an amazing small city we have,” said Erica Blair, chairperson of the Grayling Christmas Walk. “This event started as a retail event downtown, and has grown into a community event that helps to engage not only residents but visitors and vacationers as well.”
The mission of Grayling Main Street is to be an economic development program that uses historic preservation and community collaboration in Downtown Grayling to promote our artisan and great outdoors recreational resources. The vision of Downtown Grayling is to be an economically viable district, supported by the business community, that is aesthetically engaging and encourages a grand sense of pride in residents.
