Diane “Lady Di” Duggan
Diane “Lady Di” Duggan, age 75, of Roscommon, passed away on Friday, May 3, 2019, at home in the presence and comfort of her loving husband and other family members, after having fought a long battle with COPD.
Diane was born September 28, 1943 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, the daughter of Albert and Virginia (Coyle) Lesch. Diane married Thomas “Red” Duggan on April 30, 1983 in Eastpointe, Michigan.
Diane acquired the nickname of “Lady Di” as her friends felt she emulated the principles of the “British Princes,” at that time, and was always ready to help others, without hesitation.
Diane spent many hours making afghans, of unbelievable beauty, that became gifts for many. She also enjoyed doing puzzles of all kinds. She spent many hours coloring in adult coloring books, using many different coloring mediums. As one can see, she was very talented and creative. She will be remembered for being a friend to all.
Diane will be greatly missed by family and friends. She is survived by her beloved husband Thomas “Red” Duggan, her son Scott McCann from Riverview, her son Eric Siebert, her stepson Thomas Michael (Lisa) Duggan III of St. Clair Shores, Michigan, her numerous grandchildren, sisters Marge (Jim) English from Allen Park, Michigan, Virginia Woodard from Winder, Georgia and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Diane was preceded in death by her parents.
Diane’s family has chosen to remember her privately at this time, and her wish to be cremated was honored.
The family prefers any memorial contributions be made in Diane's name to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Wagner and Walsh Funeral Directors, Roscommon.
