Judy Elizabeth Mercer-Johnson
Judy E. Mercer-Johnson, age 80 of Grayling, Michigan passed away peacefully surrounded by loved ones on December 29, 2019. Born on November 7, 1939, in Baseline, Michigan, Judy was married to her loving husband, Donald F. Johnson for sixty years.
She is survived by her husband and three children, Terri Johnson-Macklem (Steve Macklem), Dale Johnson (Lori Grose-Johnson), Daniel Johnson (Kim Hemme); her sister, Joan Mercer-Lafriniere, twin sister Janet Mercer-Koresky. A proud grandmother of thirteen grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Judy was an active member of the Grayling Moose and Kalkaska Eagles Lodges in which she was an officer and a trustee.
In her free time, she enjoyed Wii Bowling and was a decorated member o the local Championship Wii Bowling Team of Grayling Senior Citizens Center.
A lover of crochet, she left behind enough beautiful afghans to keep all of us warm.
You could find Judy at The Grayling Moose on any given Tuesday, winning at Euchre.
Judy had an infectious demeanor and could put a smile on your face the second she walked into a room.
She was loved by many and will be greatly missed.
A memorial will be held in her honor at the Fraternal Order of Police #130, MI FOP Hall, 2233 Burdette St., Ferndale, Mi 48220 on March 22, 2020 from 2 p.m. - 6 p.m.
