Linda Jane Taber, age 65, died early Sunday at her home in Grayling.
She was born August 6, 1952, in Detroit, the daughter of Everett and Dorothy (Barnes) Ingrim.
On October 9, 1977, she married Frank Taber. Linda lived an active life. She loved nature and all things outdoors. She was an avid canoe racer and a member of the Michigan Canoe Racing Association for more than 30 years. She taught Catholic Catechism class for many years, a fact she was very proud of. Before the advent of the internet, Linda owned and operated WHTN (Home Town News) Channel 22, a cable access channel.
She is survived by her husband of 40 years, Frank; children, Rachel Taber of Grand Rapids, Aaron Taber (Todd Carr) of Chicago, and Brienne Taber of Lowell; grandchildren, Hunter Scott, Myles Beute, Kaleb Taber, Alaina Smith, and Rowen Smith; and other relatives and friends.
Friends are invited to join the family at Hurst Funeral Home, Greenville, for a time of visitation from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m., Thursday, August 24. Graveside services will follow at Ashley Cemetery.
