Caregiver workshop offered
Whether caring for a spouse, partner, family member, friend or neighbor, helping someone close to you with daily activities and medical tasks can be difficult. Caregivers often feel guilty and alone and have increased risk of developing depression. During this workshop participants will: explore the many ways informal caregiving affects a caregivers mental and physical health, learn the importance of self-care for caregivers, practice some strategies for self-care, and find out resources for learning more about self-care for caregivers. The class will meet June 21 at the Crawford County Commission on Aging (Lawndale Street) from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. To register or for more information, call 989.348.7123.
