Dispose of scrap tires, electronics, documents
An event to collect electronic waste, scrap tires, and shredded documents will be held on Saturday, June 10, at the Crawford County Building Parking Lot (200 W. Michigan Avenue). The following items are being accepted: Document Shredding, from 10 a.m. to noon, suggested donations $10 for a 13 gallon-size bag or box $15 for a 40 gallon-size bag or box; Scrap Tires (removed from rims), from 9 a.m. to noon; Electronic Waste, from 9 a.m. to noon, items collected include desktop computers, laptops, tablets, computer keyboards/mice, computer monitors, desktop printers, desktop scanners, desktop fax machines, gaming consoles, cell phones, DVD players/ VCRs/cable boxes, cables/cords/wires from electronics, CD players & stereo equipment/speakers, low grade electronics/small electronics. COA to host Father’s Day Dinner
The Crawford County Commission on Aging & Senior Center’s Dine-in Father’s Day Dinner will be held on Thursday, June 15, from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. On the menu will be Denise’s famous BBQ ribs, corn on the cob, loaded baked potato salad, fruit salad, and cherry pie for dessert. This meal is dine-in only. The cost of the dinner is $6.50 for those under 60 and a suggested donation of $3.50 for those 60 years of age or older.
Vacation Bible School to be held
Grayling St. Mary Church (707 Spruce Street) will host Vacation Bible School on June 27-29 from 9:30-12 each morning. Children ages 4-10 will learn new songs, create Bible-focused crafts, join in team-building activities, and play Bible-focused games. Church to distribute food
Free Food Distribution (drive through) for residents of Crawford County will be held on Saturday, June 10, from 11 a.m. at Mt. Hope Lutheran Church (905 N. I-75 Business Loop).
