Senior Center to host BBQ dinner

A BBQ Chicken & Ice Cream Social Dinner will be held on Thursday, July 20, from 4:30 p.m. to 6 p.m. at the Senior Center. Bring family and friends. On the menu: BBQ chicken, cole slaw, baked potato, watermelon, and assorted desserts. This meal is dine-in only. The cost of the dinner is $6.50 for those under 60 and a suggested donation of $3.50 for those 60 years of age or older.

 

Democrats to meet

The Crawford County Democratic Party will meet on Wednesday July 19, at 6 p.m. at the Crawford County Courthouse, 200 W. Michigan Avenue. The public is encouraged to attend.

 

Wellington Farm to host Quilt Show

On Friday through Sunday, July 14-16, Wellington Farm USA (6944 S. Military Road) will present its Annual Quilt Show. On display will be a quantity of historic quilts, some over 100 years old. There is no additional admission to see the quilts; the normal admission price admits you to the 60-acre living history complex including the Quilt Show. The quilts will be available for viewing from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m. on Friday and Saturday and from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. on Sunday. Anyone who has quilts they would like to include in the show are welcome to display them. Quilts to be included in the show should be brought to the Visitor Center no later than noon on Thursday, July 13. More information can be obtained by calling 989.348.5187.
