Two local autumn events are cancelled this year due to COVID-19, with hopes that they will return next year. The Grayling Main Street Harvest Festival and Grayling Promotional Association Arts & Crafts Show have been cancelled for the 2020 fall season.
“After the 2019 cancellation (of the Harvest Festival), we received several inquiries regarding volunteering for the event, and are looking forward to its return in 2021. Unfortunately, due to the current pandemic, we are not moving forward with the event in 2020,” said Rae Gosling, Program Director of Grayling Main Street.
“The Grayling Promotional Association’s Fall Arts & Crafts Show scheduled for October 3, 2020, has been cancelled due to the coronavirus. We will miss you, but believe in keeping everyone safe. We will see you in 2021,” according to graylingpromotional.org.
Previously the Fall Arts & Crafts Show was held in the Grayling Elementary School as a fundraiser for GPA, an organization which helps to promote and improve the community.
Currently the GPA is still planning on going ahead with its annual Festival of Trees on Saturday, November 14, to Saturday, November 28, when for two weeks at the Grayling Mini-Mall on the I-75 Business Loop, 50 or more Christmas trees are decorated by local businesses and raffled off, along with 20 or more holiday baskets.
