Denholm Family Chiropractic, located in Grayling on M-93 next to Tinker’s Junction, welcomed a new chiropractor to its staff – Dr. Rob Boykin – on Monday, January 4.
Dr. Boykin, who is originally from Florida, has a degree in chiropractic care from Life University and an extensive background in sports medicine. He also has a degree in biology from Florida State University.
Dr. Boykin came to Michigan in 2012. He said he worked at several different places and practices, “learning different things from everybody.” He worked in Detroit, the Saginaw area, Grand Rapids, Munising, and Kalamazoo, he said.
“I’ve basically been travelling throughout Michigan for the last eight years, learning what I can, trying to find out where I want to be,” Dr. Boykin said.
Dr. Boykin enjoys golfing, riding four-wheelers, riding dirt bikes, target shooting, and fishing. He also likes to go bowling; he bowled for the nationally ranked Florida State University bowling team while he was in college.
Dr. Boykin said one of his friends, a Michigan hunting and fishing guide, recommended the northern Michigan area to him based on his outdoor interests, especially fishing and trail riding. Dr. Boykin said he likes the small town feel of the Grayling area and the outdoor recreation opportunities available.
“I figured out I like a little more of the country atmosphere and the small town feel,” Dr. Boykin said.
He said he likes it here so far.
“Splendid. Awesome. I’m ecstatic to be here,” Dr. Boykin said. “I’m really happy about being here.”
According to Denholm Family Chiropractic’s website, the facility’s goal is to help people with pain relief and promote wellness to keep people healthy.

Dr. Boykin said he likes “helping people, getting sick people well.”

Dr. Craig B. Denholm of Denholm Family Chiropractic said Dr. Boykin’s experience – including his sports medicine background – will be a good addition to the facility.
